Everyday More Brilliant Panasonic
In collaboration with Lemonade Design, Toybox were thrilled to produce this immersive experience for Panasonic NZ’s first brand campaign.
The animation was produced using a combination of procedural mathematics and traditional keyframe techniques enhanced with cinematic lighting and photo-real product renders.
Dynamic visual metaphors were designed to showcase each product’s unique purpose.
Abstract forms swirl, explore and interact with individual devices to create a visual symphony that expresses Panasonic’s contemporary design innovations.
A Solar battery draws in threads of energy and light, A washing machine is framed by surging, and suspended, water; air wafts through abstract shapes like wind in grass for a heat pump. A fridge slows time and headphones pump soundwaves that ebb and flow to the rhythm.

Toybox had a long R&D process with the client, and with composer Cam Ballantyne, to develop a narrative for each product and experiment with different procedural animation techniques. Once concepts were approved we worked with an international team of Houdini artists to realise them.
The whole project was developed, animated and rendered with our crews working from home. It was one of the biggest projects we’ve run through our rendering pipeline remotely.
